Terms of Service Last updated: 10 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VeraUno service and website (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Endeavour 3DSecure and Digital Identity Ltd (“Endeavour”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
VeraUno is a secure email service that uses client-side encryption. Messages are encrypted on the user’s device before they are transmitted. We do not have access to the plaintext content of encrypted emails, only users’ private keys and each email is encrypted by a unique key which is itself encrypted.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
- Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Send spam, phishing messages, malware, or other malicious content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Tamper with, interfere with, or disrupt the Service or related infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying ideas of the Service
- Engage in any form of intellectual property theft or unauthorised use of our proprietary technology
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security or access controls
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems or the experience of other users
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activity. We may also preserve and share relevant information with law enforcement or other authorities when appropriate.
We strongly discourage any misuse of our services or infrastructure. Such activity can result in account termination and may lead to legal consequences.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all related technology, is owned by Endeavour or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content you create and send through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us the limited technical rights necessary to operate and provide the Service (for example, storing and transmitting encrypted keys).
5. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
6. Fees and Payment
Certain features of the Service may require payment. Pricing, billing cycles, and payment terms will be presented to you at the time of purchase or as otherwise agreed (for example, under an enterprise agreement).
Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or as otherwise stated. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:
- You breach these Terms
- You engage in prohibited or abusive activity
- We are required to do so by law
- We decide to discontinue the Service
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. While we use strong encryption and security practices, no system is immune to all risks. But we have a proven record spanning decades of providing, secure, safe and uninterrupted services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Endeavour and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred euro (€100), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Endeavour and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any content you transmit through the Service
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
If the changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or through the Service). Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus (unless otherwise agreed with Enterprise Clients), without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Cyprus unless otherwise required by applicable law.
13. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver.
