Enterprise

What are the risks for enterprises today?

Internal communications are being systematically absorbed into large language models. Every communication, document, website and any shred of information whether released or privately held is at risk.

A company’s intellectual property, internal processes, industry insights, supply chains, client relationships, revenue details, market strategies and the unique know-how that differentiates it from competitors are being extracted from everyday emails and documents. This information is then used to train commercial AI systems and later turned into a product sold to competitors, financial firms, governments, or any organisation that can profit from it.

What was once confidential business knowledge has been turned into a product — without the company’s knowledge or consent.

Enterprise Email Security

VeraUno is designed first and foremost to protect email for organisations who are smart enough to recognize the need to protect all their internal communications from third parties.

Your existing domain and mail servers stay exactly as they are. VeraUno adds true client-side encryption without forcing you to migrate infrastructure or change how users work.

How it works

With Google Workspace / Gmail Users can send and read encrypted emails directly from Gmail. Our optional mail client works with any Google Workspace licence — there is no restriction to specific editions.

Optional VeraUno Mail Client You can also use our dedicated mail client. It encrypts and decrypts messages while continuing to work through your existing mail servers.

The client can be:

  • Hosted by us, or
  • Hosted in-house for enterprise clients (size restrictions apply)

When domains are set up under our KACLS (Key Access Control List Service), the client works seamlessly across those domains.

Retain control even after emails are sent

One of the most powerful advantages of true end-to-end / client-side encryption is that your organisation keeps control of emails even after they are sent.

Reading an encrypted email requires a call to the KACLS. This means you can revoke access at any time — for example when remote workers, employees or contractors leave the organisation.

Emails that remain on laptops, phones or other devices become inscrutable encrypted files that can no longer be opened. The content stays protected even if the device is lost, stolen, or retained by a former staff member.

More than just email

The KACLS we provide works with Google Workspace Client-Side Encryption and covers significantly more than email. Supported services include:

  • Gmail — email body and attachments
  • Google Drive — files and folders
  • Google Docs, Sheets & Slides — collaborative documents
  • Google Calendar — event descriptions
  • Google Meet — audio, video and chat in encrypted meetings

This gives organisations a consistent, centrally controlled encryption layer across the core Google Workspace tools they already use.

Why does Google work with an external KACLS

Google operate Client-Side Encryption so that they themselves cannot access the content. This can only work by introducing a third entity which holds the encryption keys. Otherwise google would simply decrypt emails later and read their content, undoing the whole framework upon which end-to-end encryption works.

The third party holding the encryption keys is the KACLS. That is the service offered by VeraUno.
